Once upon a time not so long ago a little girl dreaned of growing up and becoming an art teacher. As she grew up and became educated she was advised not to follow certain career paths because they were 'beneath her'.
The little girl did not listen. She worked hard and ignored all the comments from her school friends, you can do better. I can get you a better job. NO! Said the little girl, I want to continue this way because it makes my soul sing... The little girl was wise, she knew she was learning valuable lessons everyday and she could feel her cleverness growing.
The little girl soon grew tired of defending herself and working hard. She didn't feel like a little girl anymore... she was starting to feel like an old woman... So she quit! To find the little girl again...
She knew that she had all the skills she needed to move forward and create her dream. But all the hard work and low pay didn't leave her with much time or space to figure things out. She had no money, she was exhasted, but she kept on going...
Then one day she read something, 'you need to create art to call yourself a starving artist'. This phrase stuck with her as she diligently kept making artwork. The seaglass you see in her paintings was during a time of very low money... She learned to get outside and find things to help her create... She is an artist, make something! Run out of green paint... find something green ;)
This little girl valued 'The tortise and the hare' story from her childhood so she soon realised this way dosen't bring instant rewards, its a lifetime of experiences that holds who we become. Short cuts wasn't her way... she always choose the longest most scenic way to get from point A to point B.
After her first few years teaching, she was told she was a good teacher, but she didn't feel like a good teacher until about 12 years of experience... All art, work, sports take time to master. Why are people in such a hurry to achieve everything...
The little girl is still learning, observing, feeling and growing... She see's everyday as a new adventure and works hard to create the perfect reflection of her inner peace and tranquility... To inspire others to live their dreams, to accept themselves for the beautiful individuals they are. Not to be afraid of your fears. She is not afraid of hardwork, she is not afraid of failing, she is doing perfectly well following her inner beat.
It's the outside world where the real challenge lies...
Talk to your inner child and free yourself from fear and worry, choose to wake up every morning to a new adventure. Take time to rest and recharge yourself. Nourish love and protect your soul. Peace and love comes from within, so let it out! Sing, dance, swim in the ocean... and keep your spirit free and young.
This little girl has climbed so many mountains, she can only see opportunity surrounding her. She has reconnected with her childhood dream and will never allow the flames of passion to burn weak.
It's time for her to forgive herself and rise from the ashes of her old self.
Be gone demons of negativity,
Be gone zombies of fear and worry,
Be gone the dark voice of doubt,
You are the god of your world,
we are all the gods of our own destiny,
Our future is what we create everyday,
Go live, in love and peace.
